Martin Ward - Martin's first career was in international finance and marketing in Asia and Scandinavia. He established Symbio in 1990 with David Ward and in addition to his role as managing director is now responsible for developing our distribution network world wide. martin@symbio.co.uk

David Ward BSc. Hons - David is a Botanist and Biochemist and co-founder of Symbio. He has over 10 years' experience in applied environmental biotech. David specialises in developing novel biotech. solutions to environmental problems and is an advisor to industry on the DTI's Biowise programme. david@symbio.co.uk

Polly Gearing - Many years of maintaining her herd of New Forest ponies have given Polly the management and organisational skills to administer our sales, purchasing, manufacturing and accounts systems with a rod of iron. polly@symbio.co.uk

Neil Carter - is based in Portishead near Bristol and will look after our customers in Wales and SW England. Neil ran his own landscaping company for many years before completing his HND in Green Keeping at Cannington College. Neil has experience of working at a number of different types of golf club in England and France and an excellent background in plant and soil ecology.  neil@symbio.co.uk

Paula O'Hanlon - Following five years of practical greenkeeping and obtaining a Trade Certificate and Diploma in Turf Culture, Paula went to Auckland University to study for a BSc in Environmental Science and MSc in Irrigation Technology. Paula then left New Zealand to travel the world and luckily for us stopped in Twickenham. Paula looks after our customers in the west side of London, Berkshire and North Surrey.  paula@symbio.co.uk

Vicky Willett - Vicky is a soil scientist with a BSc. degree in Agroforestry from the Univeristy of Wales, Bangor where she also completed a PhD researching aspects of soil organic nitrogen giving her in-depth understanding of the N cycle and a broad knowledge of soil nutrition from both chemical and microbial aspects.  Between degrees she was selected to work for the International Centre for Research into Agroforestry in Malawi investigating the rooting depths of a multipurpose tree. Vicky is now based in Skipton and will support our customers in Northern England with special interest in forestry, turf management and horticulture.  vicky@symbio.co.uk


Paul Sheather - Paul graduated with a HND in horticulture specialising in Sports Turf Management from Writtle College and has 10 years experience of practical greenkeeping and golf course management. Paul's final position was Head Greenkeeper of the Arden Course at the Forest of Arden where he prepared the course for several European Tour events culminating in the Masters. If you have a big competition coming up Paul will be pleased to meet you to see how we can help you get the very best results.  Based in Cambridge, Paul will be looking after North London, East Anglia and the Midlands.  paul@symbio.co.uk
