- Symbio ThatchEater applied April 2019
Results
Black layer eradicated, thatch starting to degrade and the green is firm playable with a good sward density and improved percolation.
Greenkeeper comments
Andrew is very impressed with the results so far as the original thoughts were to drain this green. They can see the condition and playability of the green have improved so much from the work done that this will not be necessary . My first visit to see Andrew was on November the 9th 2018, where you can see from the picture 1 the thatch and black layer, the green was out of play and a temporary green in use.
The second picture is from my visit on January 15th 2019 where you can see an improvement from the application of Traceolite and Liquid Aeration. ThatchEater was applied in April they have used the air2g2 and solid tine aeration to aid the microbial activity.
Picture 3 is on May 16th 2019 and you can see all the black layer has gone thatch has started to degrade nicely and the profile is a lovely humic rich colour and improved percolation rate .
