Sports Turf

Healthy perennial grasses grow in biologically active soil, where microorganisms provide natural defence mechanisms against disease, dry patch and thatch build up. Healthy soils contain mycorrhizal fungi which extend root systems and increase access to nutrients and water.

Symbio provides the correct combination of biology, chemistry and physics for the growth of fine grass, reducing the need for chemicals, and resulting in less disease, less physical disruption, reduced management time and lower costs.

Liquid trace elements

Liquid Magnesium 5%

MAGNESIUM is at the center of the chlorophyll molecule and as such is essential to photosynthesis. Magnesium also plays a role in the synthesis of amino acids, vitamins, oils and sugars, and activates the enzymes used in cellular respiration. Magnesium deficiency results in a yellowing of the turf and a loss of plant vigour.

Liquid Calcium 6%

CALCIUM plays a key role in the development of plant and fruit cell walls, especially during cell division. Calcium is also part of many enzymes, and protects cells from toxins. Calcium deficiency first appears in the growth points of roots and shoots causing deformities.

Liquid Copper 6%

COPPER is a key component in the reactions that occur during photosynthesis and respiration. Copper is also in enzymes that build amino acids into proteins and plays a key role in synthesis of lignin. Deficient turf has stunted withered leaves with often a dark blue green colour, and dead or brown spots.

Liquid Manganese 6%

MANGANESE is used by the plant in the formation of various enzymes. It has a major role in chlorophyll synthesis and nitrogen metabolism. Manganese deficiency can be seen in a yellowing of the turf.

Liquid Boron 15%

BORON is directly involved in the translocation of sugars from the leaf to the roots. Some of these sugars are exuded into the root zone to feed beneficial micro-organisms, i.e. boron has a direct biological link. Boron deficiency shows as yellowing, and thickening or curling in the growing tips of turf.

Liquid Zinc 6%

ZINC is a component of lots of enzymes and as such is essential for protein synthesis, seed and grain formation, plant maturity and growth regulation. Deficiency is demonstrated in poor growth, lack of stem elongation and yellowing.

Symbio Trace Elements

Symbio Liquid Trace Elements contains a mixture of the main trace elements, and can be used in times of stress when a rapid and effective balance of plant trace elements may be required.
