Sports Turf

Healthy perennial grasses grow in biologically active soil, where microorganisms provide natural defence mechanisms against disease, dry patch and thatch build up. Healthy soils contain mycorrhizal fungi which extend root systems and increase access to nutrients and water.

Symbio provides the correct combination of biology, chemistry and physics for the growth of fine grass, reducing the need for chemicals, and resulting in less disease, less physical disruption, reduced management time and lower costs.

Biofixations for problem solving

Biofixation technology represents a considerable advancement in the application of soil biology and is at the centre of our biotechnical development. During the process of biofixation, selected strains of beneficial bacteria and fungi are fixed into carefully selected mineral carriers. The unique combination of microbes and mineral support, together with a biostimulant, enhances bacterial and fungal metabolism and protects them from ultra violet light, chemicals and toxins. This results in a reproduction capacity that is substantially greater than that found in free-living microorganisms, allowing for the rapid establishment of a healthy population of beneficial microorganisms.

Green Circle

SYMBIO GREENCIRCLE provides the foundation for maintaining fast, healthy, thatch-free sports turf. GREENCIRCLE contains a cocktail of beneficial soil bacteria and fungi, which replace the essential microbes lost from intensively managed turf. The addition of bio stimulants, trace elements and carbohydrates provide a boost to the development of a healthy population of microorganisms. The bacteria and fungi are specially selected for their roles in promoting effective nutrient uptake, converting thatch to humus and making nutrients available to increase root growth and sward strength.

Thatch Eater

SYMBIO THATCH EATER degrades thatch with minimal disruption - THATCH EATER contains a blend of beneficial soil microorganisms that have been specially selected for their ability to rapidly degrade thatch and organic matter, converting it to humus and releasing locked-up nutrients for plant growth. The specially selected bacteria and fungi produce enzymes to degrade thatch for a whole season with just one application. By releasing nutrients, a healthy soil food web is soon restored, improving surface drainage and reducing black layer.

For strong growth and disease resistance in autumn and winter use SYMBIO RESISTER. The specially selected bacteria and fungi in RESISTER are chosen for their ability to degrade thatch and utilise available nutrient for plant growth. The bacteria and fungi break down thatch which may harbour disease causing pathogens. The nutrients released promote root development and increase winter wear resistance. Promoting a beneficial microbial population is an important factor in maintaining a healthy sward that is more resistant to the problems associated with winter play.
